Weird and annoying little problem

For some reason, there's a folder called New on my desktop. And no matter how many times I delete it, it still comes back. And not come back as in like I reboot and it comes back. If I don't restart, it still comes back after several hours. Anyone know how I can solve this problem?

Do you remember when it first appeared what you were doing as far as downloading,etc.

I put some temp music files in it. After I moved those files to my MP3 folder, I deleted the temp folder. But it keeps on reappearing.

Is it mapped to AOL?

What OS are you using? If it is 2k or XP, could it be that the folder exists in the 'all users' desktop, and so you removing it from yours makes no difference..?

Oooooooooohhh, just checked. It is indeed mapped to AIM. Doh!

This should be a FAQ. I don't use AOL but from another forum (the post went on forever) This was the problem.
