Kids Microsoft Outlook 2000 folder size probs.

Hello all you techies out there. I was hoping someone could help me solve this mystery for myself. Well I was working on someones mail account and it is saying that that persons mailbox is closed, but when I checked her folder size her subfolders are showing a combined total of 96k, but the folder size outlook is saying is 48000k? I have cleaned every folder out and turned off her journal and still getting the same thing. Any clue I would really appreciate the assistance.

Mahalo,
Kbay

Something that has caught me a few times is check the filter applied on the inbox.. if its set to something specifically you'll never find those "hidden" messages!!

View ---> Current View ---> Change to 'Messages' to see everything

Outlook Today folder size

Thank you for replying to the thread that was posted. I have tried your suggestion and there is nothing in the folders to view. I have thoroughly cleaned out everything and the size is still at 48000k. One thing I did notice was the Outlook Today size was 47863k. Anyone Please Help!

hmm check his calendar, make sure there's no calendar items with attachments that could be weighing it down.

You might also check this KBA to see if you can get rid of some stuff that might have gotten thrown in the wrong place.

Did you "compact" the files to get rid of the deleted mail?

Hello all thank you for all of your assistance. I found it easier to delete her exchange account and recreate, but I will keep all this information on hand for future reference.
