how many fans?

How many case fans do you guys have? I'm thinking 3 for my new case. Is that enough? Or overkill?

it depends on the case i would guess some will only take 2 some will take more . as long as you have one in front blowing in and 1 in back blowing out that will work . but if you can mount more it can't hurt as long as you can deal with the noise factor .

I was also thinking about the same thing for a new computer I am building. What case fans do you suggest? I am looking for a fan that has a nice CFM rating. I don't mind some noise but I don't want my computer to sound like an Apache either. I still want to be able to sleep in my bedroom.

How about some fan specs? I'm sure that having 3 fans rated at 32cfm and 3 rated at 72cfm is gonna be different.

I'm curious too...I bought 4 80mm x 25mm 36cfm fans for my case. I was wondering how much air flow is too little also.

I have 4 fans (not counting video card, CPU and PS) in my new project comp I am building. My current workstation, a P4 1.8 Dell has a slimline case and super quiet fans. I can not tell it is on when I sit at the desk next to it. The project comp sounds like a leaf blower.
