Mozilla 1.4b problems

I am using windows XP with mozilla 1.4b.
Every once in a while my entire system will freeze for about 15 seconds or so and then go back to working again. I think it is mozilla because it was fine before I installed it. Also because one time durring the freezing, only mozilla was frozen. It does it randomly. Has anyone else been having this problem?

The mozilla foum over at mozillazine have alot of info on bugs and related problems http://forums.mozillazine.org/ . I've never had the problem your talking about but I've had it happen when using java or any pages contaning java. You may also want to browse through bugzilla and see if there are any bugs reported.

Actually i dont think its mozilla. When I quit mozilla the comp kept freezing still. Then i restarted the machine and its still doing it!!!

I think it would be something else, but maybe you could try mozilla 1.4 rc 1
