Hello everyone,

I decided that with my new system, I also need a new larger monitor, so my gaming experience can be truly unique. What size (in inches, of course) monitor should I get? I was considering 19-21in.. around there.. Also, where can I get reliable ones for cheap? Comments/suggestions appreciated, and thanks in advance.

I have bought two 21 inch monitors from here and been very happy with both...Go with grade "A" and low dot pitches....

good rating too!

19" to 21" is plenty!
Im using a 19" .22 dot pitch CRT now...but truth is I want to upgrade to 21" if I can find affordable one with as good an image as I have now.....hard to find in a 21" size that will not break the bank!

No...standard VGA connector.
Excellent choice...couldnt find better deal when I looked...one thing though, they sell off the good monitors like this quickly, so I would jump on this as soon as possible...I check there every couple of days and they have sold out of many of the monitors I was interested in quickly!
Dont forget shipping...not cheap but cheaper than some other places and its easy to find out....this one is ...$250 w/ship

hey guys, can you tell me what you think of this monitor? I was telling a friend about the sites of monitors I had, and he recommended this one.. http://shop1.outpost.com/product/3560364/

it's lcd, and supposedly that's better then crt.. I don't really know.. what do you guys think of that monitor? I know it's 17" but it beats my 800x600 resolution right now

Todd

Heck...if you can afford it go for it!
I dont know about better than a CRT, but it will be quieter, smaller footprint, cooler, and have bragging rights.
LCD 17 inches are equivelent to roughly a 19 inch CRT in screen size.
Are you a gamer? There can be problems with "ghosting" and "trails" in most LCD's when it comes to high framerate games.
