printer problem

I'm having a problem with my printer and i need help with it. I have a Canon Multipass C755 and I've downloaded like 3 different drivers for a windows XP operating system, but none of them work. Then once I put the last driver on, an error message came up saying that "Print Spooler Service Not Responding". and then it said that the DLL file "MPASSMON.DLL" could not be found and that it needed it to run the printer.... i dont know what to do. is there anyone who has a suggestion for me on what i can do to get my printer to work?

I would look at what it says under "Start", "Settings", "Printers and Faxes", first...is there more than one printer listed?
if so, are they seemingly the same printer? If so remove all but the latest added.
If not remove the one that is there...shut down, unplug printer for a few min's / plug back in.....reboot and and technically XP should recognize printer and have drivers already...if not then when in wizard to add...search "Windows update" first then try the drivers you downloaded.
This may not help, but it is a start.

I've tryed taking everything off and then restarting and all that stuff. none of it works. I've tried dowloading drivers, I've tried finding missing DLL files, none of it works i need to get this printer working but i dont know how!?
