NForce2: A7N8X Deluxe-06MaxPc Quote?
Im curious of 3 things:
1)This is a direct quote from this months MaxPc mag regarding NForce2 There's recently been a stink about whether the nForce2 uses the PCI or AGP bus, and whether its AGP implementation (if it exists at all) is 4x or 8x. nVidia says that because the graphics engine is integrated into the chipset core (and not located on a separatepiece of silicon wired to the northbridge), the nForce2 uses neither AGP nor PCI! For this reason, AGP 4x and 8x concerns don't apply, and video memorey bandwidth is generally limited by the system RAM's speed. My question is that, if this is true, should i stick to a Radeon9500 instead of a Pro and get more RAM?
2)Is the SoundStorm capable of utilizing the Logitech Z680's or is an Audigy2 more capable? In other words, forgo the Audigy2 and stick with onboard sound?
3)How does one tell whether one has a Rev2 board of the A7N8X Deluxe when buying online? Thanks for all responses in advance!!
