computer for less than $100

ok i allready have 128mb SDRAM a 1GB HDD, 800MB HDD, and 400 mb HDD also have 42X CDROM and a ton of NIC cards.....................wanting to build a MP# server for less than $100........also want it to be able to play quake3, unreal tournament 1, or counter strike here are 2 possible systems.......................id preffer to go with the cheaper of the 2 but you help me decide.

i think i might be able to find a free case....maybe that will bring the cost down also #1 doesnt have a cpu cooler


what do you think? any thoughts? any suggestions? keep in mind its basically for MP3s................and maybe 1 game(to have something to play on a LAN every now and then).

well if your interested i have some motherboards and cpu's forsale on my fs thread the bh6 and 300a combo will do 450 no problem ...and the bh6 is a really nice board it will do up to 800 pIII i think . but at 300 or 450 i think it will work fine for what you are talking about ,.

I don't think the 233 will run those games very well. I say go with the 600mhz.

How do these C3s perform in comparison to, say a celeron or duron? I haven't been able to find any articles comparing them, just different versions of the C3.
