2.4c p4 = overclocking

well i have my 2.4c, slapped some ac3 on it, and a spark 7....

im running stock voltage and pushed it to run 3.3ghz stable

its survived burn in test of sandra 2003 and hours of gaming, this proc. owns all. IMO

which motherboard and ram are you using?

I have the 2.4 C on a Asus P4C800 using OCZ 2700 EL 256mb DDR and a Aeroflow cooler.. running around 33 celucius with room temperature around 25 celcius. (no load).

2x256 pc3200 geil ram

gigabyte motherobard - ga-8lk1100 (cheapest one in series)

i have a pci graphic card from my old computer, and 5400rpm western digtal, saving some money for new graphic card and hard drives, need to use that 8x agp!

xp pro sp1, and enermax cs-10182-ba case

When oc'ed @ 3.3 Idle temps are 38-39 and gameing is at 43-45. Burn test with sandra give me temps at 50c.

I think my motherboard has alot to do wiht my success, my brother has same ram and proc but the abit ic7 and couldnt get 3ghz to run stable, then again some give the ic7 good reviews, so i guess its luck of the draw when u get processor.

A friend got the intel mobo with his 3c proccesor and couldnt overclock it at all.

here are some screenshots, quality isnt great cuase i got 56k and dont feel like uploading alot

jonathon.fateback.com/cpu.gif
jonathon.fateback.com/3.3arithbench.gif
jonathon.fateback.com/3.3cachmembench.gif
jonathon.fateback.com/3.3mumediabench.gif

links should work.

*If links give u a "403 forbiden" then just delete the "http://" and hit enter, the host is messed up.*

p.s. ive tried to go higher, but at 3.6 it would get to windows loadin and stall, and 3.42 it would crash on sandra test,
