I built a media box a few months ago so I could watch movies, listen to music etc in the lounge. For my media box I used my old ugly KTX case here is a pic for it here
As you can see its a pretty ugly case, it has also collected a few stickers over the years.
Well I decided that I had to mod this case. I had read about it, thought about it for many years now, I had to do it this weekend.
1st to go was that ugly front panel, this got ripped off in a manner that you would expect Jessie and his crew ripping something of a vehicle on Monster Garage.
2nd was that beige colour. I hooked up my paint stripper attachment to my drill and let it fly. I was so impressed with the scratched up shiney industral effect that it gave that I decided to do the rest of the case to give it this kind of look.

As you can see I have hooked up some new buttons to the case.
My original idea and next step was I wanted perspex sides and front. I managed to get hold of some nice tinted clear perspex for this. Here are some pics of a side panel attached and this is really the stage I am up to at the moment
I stopped progress today as I realised that I needed a purple cold cathod for my case, I will order this tomorrow and hopefully get it on Tuesday.
