There are a couple generic things you can do for cdrw...
enable or disable DMA in "device manager"...( Start-Settings-Control Panel-System-Device manager-cdrom-properties)
download latest bios flash for cdrw and flash the drive...
http://cdmate.copystar.com.tw/enu/re...ist/list_o.htm
and updating Nero almost always helps...

If you've tried different programs and you still have problems...then to me it sounds like there's a problem with your ASPI drivers. See if you can get ahold of the latest ASPI drivers and try it again...

I'm with Gouki on this.... look for an updated ASPI layer. The support page for your Optorite drive should have one available for download that is probably more current than the one it shipped with.

Download and install that and see if it cures your issue.

I am having the same problem. I changed back to the windows IDE drivers but now it keeps saying there is no media in the drive.

When I reinstall the nForce drivers I can see discs in the drive but I can't burn.

What I can do though is brun from CD to CD just not from HD to CD.

What should some of the DMA settings be. They sau Ulta DMA mode 2 now.
