software descrambler for tuner card?

just a question.. is there such a thing available i can buy or download?
frankly, vid capping network tv isn't all that exciting. and most of the cable channels are scrambled on my pc.
any suggestions?

I'm pretty sure descramblers are illegal, and a such shouldn't be discussed here..

The cable channels are fine on both of the Hauppauge cards and the AIW 128 Pro I've tried. If you are a cable subscriber it should work as-is.

I believe descramblers are legal.... U can buy them.

Now, I'm not sure if there's descrambler software though...

Software descramblers exist, but not very good working ones for US cable.

Either way it's not very legal since the bottom line is that it enables you to steal cable. (And yes it is theft if you dont pay for it) Whether or not the device itself is legal I dont know, but what you will use it for is certainly illegal.
