Surge Protector

....

hey guys...I need a surge protector for my PC. Today a lightning striked near my house and my computer shutted off. I was almsot crying. Though its working, nothing happened

So..what is a good BACKUP UPS or Surge Protector around 70$?

You cannot go wrong with any of the APC products. Usually, you can get a great deal on them at Staples. The UPS's work great and the more money you pay, the more battery time you get. The surge protection is great as well.

I was gonna suggest a Belkin surge protection socket (like I have), but dunno if you can get 'em in the US??

of course you can get belkin in the U.S. i got mine from staples. here is the one i have, i wouldnt buy anything under 2,000 joules, the more the better

You fill out registration and send it in and it covers you for like $100,000 worth of equipment if it fails.
Same with any surge protector...make sure it offers "insurance" protection against failure
