Mobo fight; MSI vs Asus Ready? GO!

Say you had the choice between these two mobos, which one would you pic? The processor being used is an Athlon XP 2400+ 266mhz. The Asus A7V8X-X which is here:
http://www.asus.com/prog/spec.asp?m=A7V8X-X&langs=01

Or the MSI KT4VL mobo which is here:
http://www.msicomputer.com/product/d...h_text=MS-6712

Just between these two, please, thanks for your help!

besides being bluetooth ready and being prettier (MSI)... there isnt much difference between the two.
Am I wrong?

the bluetooth feature costs extra; it does not concern me right now.

Eh, both these boards have VIA (Cyrix in disguise! ) chip sets, you think the nforce2 chipset is that much better though?

that seems to be the opinion of most people around here. The one via board i had sucked but it was an ecs. The one nforce 2 board i've had has been awesome but it is asus. I think it is kind of hard to compare those 2.

I bought an asus a7v133-c with xp1700 for me and msi k7t turbo with xp1800 for my sis. They both work the same (via kt133a chipsets). We used to have durons with via kt133s. That way after upgrading we didn't have to reinstall windows. I found the boards at computer geeks and cpus from newegg and cheap too.

VIA chipset or not, under 70 bucks for these boards sounds like a good deal, with 8x AGP, 333mhz XP processor support, and DDR 3200 ram support. I guess it'll make a high-end budget PC?

I don't have any personal experience of Asus boards, but I've currently got the KT4VL, and my XP2600 system runs rock solid, with plenty of monitoring and overclocking options!!
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this board to anyone.

No nonsense (not tons of extras) A7N8X-X by asus is only $80! Thats a nforce2 board..Oclocks great but not all the extra's of a7n8x and deluxe models.
