I've stealthed my mouse...

hi, I steathed my optical mouse by placing it upside down into the keyboard tray flush with the tray,
I then placed a piece of etched acrylic on top, with the pad I choose it just moves around like normal to activate left and right functions I simply push on the side I want.
I went and reversed the mouse buttons through windows mouse settings.
the top pad can be any shape, I just used this for testing...
so the mouse stays still and the pad moves for a change.
no wires, no mouse. here's a pic

=

what do you's think?

Interesting, but where do you push again to click the buttons? What side?

And how is it stealthed?

AFAIK that's a unique mod. Not sure how user friendly it'd be long term, but well done on a clean job!!

you push on the side you want left/right,
and I'd say it is stealthed because there is no mouse visible just a pad.

Cool idea---but you got a wild method of "clicking" that I sure dont completely understand yet---you are scrubbing a piece of pad around on the surface over the inverted mouse---and reaching under the acrylic surface to activate the buttons???

definite points for creativity!!
In a field saturated with overly done mods, or only slight twists on common mods, its nice to see someone experimenting!
good presentation....doesn't look hurried just to do it.

ummmmmmm, this may be a dumb question, but how on earth do you use it? Sliding a mouse pad around doesnt sound real friendly.

A+ for originality.
A+ for craftsmanship.

Like the others, I'm not sure about the "user friendliness" of it. especially long term. And I too need my four buttons + scroll wheel. Especially for gaming! Good job though! Keep up the good work!

Nice job, I don't know how practical it is but very original! I would have to agree with omardeth, I would be lost without a scroll wheel! Not to mention my forward and back buttons. Nice job tho.
