Family Sharing Setup Help

Everyone has their own IP and we are connected to a 8 port switching hub(10/100),my computer sees my wifes and my sons computer but not my 2 daughtersand my daughters computers can see each others but not mine and my wifes and sons. They are all set up for file sharing and are all set to the same workgroup.Operating systems are : Mine ME
Wife ME
Son 98
Daughter ME
Daughter98
So any ideas would be greatly appreciated,it would be nice if the girls could use the printer without emailing there stuff to my wifes computer to print it off and burn music music from their computers without loading up my wifes harddrive with it .Thanks for any help.

The key is to make sure everyone is set up exactly the same way. Same workgroup (which you said is right), same default login and same default protocol (usually TCP/IP).

Here's a place to start looking to see if you're set up right:

You said everyone has their own IP, but where are they getting it from? Do you have a router somewhere?

I would advise against having seperate IPs...they're unnecessary. You need to set one system (it's better if this is a dedicated system) as a server, and install a firewall on it...then let all the other systems connect through it...

Yes, not only that but if you have separate IPs and enable file and printer sharing, your computers are exposed to the internet. At the very least, you'll want to use a router to protect your network.
