Movie computers and the OS they have

whats the deal alot of movies out there have seens with computers and such in them i'll drop some examples

The Matrix-the scene where neo is sitting in front of the computer doing a search for morpheus

Swordfish-the AWESOME computer hugh jackman uses to build the Hydra

XXX- the computer Xander uses to send the info back to the NSA headquarters

the list goes on and on...........the OS that appears to be on the systems always look awesome especially the swordfish one......so are these OS's real or is it all just "movie magic"..........or is it just a program.......at any rate if its real....WHERE CAN I GET A COPY???....LOL....anyone know??

Me too, always wanted a real funky looking desk top and GUI

looked at window blinds but then ran away, but something like that might be it, skining windows or something moving around that dosen't look animated, but looks like its doing somthing

a couple of outer limits episodes had some nice ones

The systems in those movies look so sweet. Probably just a small custom app written to make it look like they're doing something.

I would LOVE a setup like Swordfish. That is my dream setup.

Thats exactly the sentiment they had of sci-fi movies in the 60s and 70s. Things like cellular phones, microwaves and the like. Har, what a crock of cheese those were =)
