Did you tell the client system to connect through the server system?

Go to the properties of IE, Connections tab...and run the Internet Setup Wizard (you'll find a button for it) telling it to go through the LAN for the connection

I did that already, It says it has an IP conflict with the other machine.
How do I solve that?

When you went into your Network Neighborhood properties, then the connection's properties...then internet properties (sorry I can't really remember Win98SE here) ...did you set the IP information? you don't need to. You could have set it to something like 192.168.0.1...that's unesessary...it will pick up the local IPs automatically (server will be 192.168.0.1)

Uh, win98 is a bit picky about IP's, actually. The HOST PC (the one the modem is in /connected to) must have an IP of 192.168.0.1. Then the CLIENT PC's (the ones you are shring the internet to) can have IPs' in the range 192.168.0.x up to 254 - but not 1 (as that's the HOST. Not a spicky at winXP, but picky enough.

So what IP's have ya got, BC?

BTW, I'd suggest not using winICS and using AnalogX Proxy. More robust.

Cheers
