hard drive question

ok ive had this problem a couple times and am wondering if i am doing something wrong. i have 2 hard drives in my system. my primary is ntfs with win2k, and the secondary is fat32 with just data on it (music, movies, etc.) i recently had to change motherboards, and reformat my main drive. when i got everything plugged in, my secondary drive shows up in the device manager, but not in explorer, but it should show up as D. which leaves all the data on the secondary drive inaccessible.

so my question is: am i formatting things incorrectly so they dont show up on a new install of my OS, or is this normal?

Do you have something like Partition Magic? That might be able to give ya more info. I once had something like that happen to me, can't remember exactly what i did to fix it... But i think i ended up having to format the 2nd drive also... But yeh, before ya do that wait and see if anyone else has suggestions...

Don't format your second drive!

Reformatting the Primary drive will have no effect on your secondary drive. Try going to the Control Panel and double click Administrative Tools. Then double click Computer Management. Then double click Disk Mangement. Post the info listed here for each of your drives.
