Upgrade to pro from home.
Before I install windows xp pro, is it even possible to upgrade from windows xp home SP1 to windows xp pro with a full version of windows xp pro, and not the upgrade of windows xp pro?

I'd be interested in this too, my bos has the xp pro cd and uses home right now, i would like to upgrade for him.

Any problems with it, anything special to do?

I dont think there would be any prob.... in fact, if you insert the WinPRO cd it will ask you if you want to upgrade..

Yep yep, indeed it did. I am now using xp pro, and all of my settings stayed the same.

DId you have to insert the cd-key? My boss lost his, he might have to get the disk replaced

Ugh, guess since i am cleaning his office i might find it, or we can return it to ms for the fee..

Or if i have to have him buy it from our friend for $30 since he works at MS
