Need advice on card upgrade

Ok, first I do not know alot about video cards. I am in the process of upgrading my pos dell and plan on getting a new vid card. Right now I have a geforce2 mx400 32 meg card. I also and working with AGP. I would just like to go to some decent performance at a decent price, say the 100 dollar range. I have no complains about my current card, but I dont know about the cards as I said. I looked at several online retailers and I just get confused. A bunch of different manufactures with the same chip set, and then you got radeons with 7000 8500 9000 etc, I dont know where to start.

1.5 p4
256 ram(soon 512)
40 gig hd(adding second 60gb)
Sb live

Im not a huge gamer, I am a big half-life and counterstrike player right now. alot of games I play do not require a good card, stuff like heroes of might and magic, roller coaster tycoon. I do do some mild making of my own music videos and editing.

that card should be great and for new stuff too 0
