volcano7 full speed - need info

How do I make my Volcano 7 fan run at the full posted speed? I read somewhere you can splice some wires and make it do that. I didn't have much luck on google but wanted to know what to do before I take this sucker out Thx in advance.

You should be able to do that if you cut off the tempurature sensor and connect its wires together.

"full posted speed" = 12 volts??
run the +ive wire from your Volcano to the yellow on a molex, and the -ive to a black wire??

Am I stating the obvious here, or am I missing something??

Just remember that full speed means max ventilation and but also means max noise!

What about fitting a rheostat (like the Volcano 9) so that you can adjust the speed/voltage to whatever you need??

no there is a temp sensor that limits the eletrical current going through then when it gets hotten iot lets more current through.. i was wondering how i go by bypassing that sensor?

I did it! I had to use flux paste and lead free silver solder did the job good and keeps it cooler longer Would it matter what thermal paste I use? It think my AS3 is hitting thermal takedown (or whatever it is).
