Going back to last firmware for modem?

hey

on my old computer i am running windows 98 with a lucent win modem. recently i upgraded the firmware on it to see if it would make the dialup any faster etc...

instead of making it faster, it made it slower.

can you guys guide me in reverting back to the older firmware or is that possible at all?

How did you do the flash? Does Lucent provide a exe file to create a floppy disk?

no i didnt require any of that... i just downloaded an exe file...

so is there a way to fix this/

Can you download the older version from their website and flash it again?

Eryk, there is no way to go back. On new modems its in possible. However, that modem you have does not require a flash. thats why its impossible.Its DRIVERS you downloaded Just revert back to the old drivers becasue the modem uses software to control the modem LMK if I can be of further help.
