Outlook xp delegation

Hello,
I work in an office with a LAN.
outlook offers you the possibility to invite people by sending them a letter of meeting where they can accept decline or reject. if you accept ,the meeting is automatically enters to your mailbox calender.
My problem is that i dont want the meeting to enter my calender but to my BOSS'S CALANDER.

i did the delegation to my mailbox plus gave myself premissions to both mailbox (read) and calender (publishing editor)
But still they meetings enter to my calender and not his what should i do ?
please help me
p.s : we use exchange 5.5

thanks ,
maor.

Try this. Right Click on "Outlook Today" in your folder list select "Open Other Folder" then "Other Users Folder" A dialog box will appear and enter your bosses name and from the drop down list select "Calendar". This should open up his calander and you should be able to add a new appointment on your bosses calendar. This is in Outlook 2000.

First of all thanks for your reply.

Second of all, by saying
"you should be able to add a new appointment on your bosses calendar"
Do mean like manually add them or when i press "ACCEPT" it will be added automatically ?

First off,, Welcome to TechIMO....

It will work the same way as it would if you were adding an appointment to your calendar. All you need is to have update authority on you bosses calendar.

maor - from what I am reading, you need access to your boss's calendar. If you open up YOUR inbox, you cannot accept an invitiation to YOU for your boss. the invitiation would need to come in your boss's inbox, then you could open that and add when you accept it, it should go to your boss's calendar.I am not 100% sure about this though...

Maor, I think I read you message wrong. You are trying to accept an appointment on behalf of your Boss. I thought you were setting up an appointment for your boss and inviting others. Sorry for that but you should still be able to do this the way I was describing except that instead of opening up your bosses calendar open up the inbox and accept the appointment from there. According to MS help you need to be in your bosses folder to have the appointment go to your bosses calendar.

Are these inventations being sent to you directly or since you have delegate authority they are forwarded to you. Basically does your name appear under "To".

You could always do this - accept the appointment and then drag it to you boss's calendar and then save it there.
