You need the Windows Me drivers for your vid card.

no i can't enable it, i can only disable it, but that button is greyed out.

ok so i just use the ME drivers for my video card in any OS?

now when i try to open GTA III it says

"grand theft auto III requires at least 12MB of video memory"?
what does that mean,

i have 768MB of DDR SDRam memory that goes up in loads. like "768 MB total ( 19% load)"

and a G4 MX440se 64MB AGP Graphics Card,

No, you cannot use me drivers in w2k, don't even try.

Video memory is different from system ram, as you state you have 768mb of ram. Also, you have 64mb video memory (per graphics card).

The thing you should do, is download dx9, download mb drivers and nvidia detonator drivers.

Get the dx9_redist, it's ~32mb file.
