Kids Can't find codec

I hope you can help me.. I'm sorry I don't understand all of this. I downloaded a moive, then I downloaded the DivX player 2.1. I actually downloaded a few things off of that site. Something like divX plus 5.0 or somthing also. Anyhow, when I went to play the movie it read.. "This file contains unknown video data. The video file you are opening includes video data that is not recognized by the DivX Player. The file contains the following type of data: Video data: FOURCC code "0" You may need to install a new video codec on you computer to watch this video." Sence I know absolutly nothing about computer I then processed to try to search and find out what FourCC was. I found a "AVI FourCC Code Changer". I figured maybe that would help, so I downloaded that. To use it I have to enter in... FourCC Decription Code and FourCC Used Coec... I have no idea what either of those are. So I then proceeded to read the read section which reads... "AVI FourCC Changer v1.00 - www.inmatrix.com
--------------------------------------------------------------------

Ok, this thing is pretty simple, all it does is read the FourCC
code from any given AVI file and allow you to set anything in it's
place.

There are some default entries which you can use.

Please note, putting a bad FourCC code will
make your AVI unplayable.

Full Delphi source code is in the source.zip file, enjoy." I then when to the source file... there was nothing in there about a zip..... so once again... I'm at ground zero and have no idea what to do... I've tried really hard to figure this out on my own but I'm giving up time being and hoping you can help. what do i do from here. I would really greatly appreciate your help on this one. Thank you soo much in advance.

Welcome to TIMO.. Hopefully you were downloading a legal movie, since warez talk isn't allowed here.
I would get a program from download.com called Global DivX. It's a very good player.

Ace Megapack has everything I needed.

some of those "codec packs" cause more problems that actually help

download a program call gspot and it will tell you what codec you need and if you have it install. (if its a valid format)
