help disabling onboard NIC

I have a chaintec motherboard with phoenix bios. I've just discovered through much troubleshooting that the onboard nic is not working properly and I need to know how to disable it in bios.

I need specific instructions; is it under advanced chipset features or intergrated peripherals...

I doubt it is a BIOS setting rather I suspect that there is a jumper on your motherboard that will have to be moved to disable the onboard NIC. Do you have your owners manual for the MoBo?

Many newer motherboards let you turn onboard devices off in the CMOS Setup. But they are more often than not located in different places brand to brand.

Rockpile, best is to get the manual and look in there, unless someone here can help you. Do you have the motherboard model number?
