URL History won't go away

WINXP PRO SP1

It happened again, a bunch of my urls in the drop down history box won't go away. It's getting annoying... And it is only about 20 urls or so through the whole abc-xyz

What i have done:

Cleared my temp files
Cleared my history
Cleared my cookies
Cleared my autocomplete
Searched through my whole hard drive and registry for files that contain one of the urls in question, also searched for files that are named the one of the urls in question

What else to do?

Try running anti-virus or Ad-aware, if you haven't already done so. Sounds pretty fishy to me.

I don't know if this will help but I noticed when you click on Tools and select Internet Options and go to the Advanced Tab, there is and option to "Show friendly URL's". Maybe that option is selected?
