Kids searching for boot record
yes i just got done installing my new board and after i went through the bios setup it goes to searching for boot record and does nothing futher but just before this it says atapi sec master in capatible and then goes to searching for boot record from IDE 0 -- ok and then does nothing just sits thee any help out there from the pc gods??????????????//

Do you have an OS installed?
The OS installs a record in the boot record to say "HEY Start Here!" and thats where OS begins to load .. so w/o an OS it has nothing to look for
If you replaced the mobo/proc on an already installed OS that could cause problems and its suggested you reinstall the Operating system.

how to fix
ok i took my hd from my old pc so how do i resolve this issue because for one i haven't really saved any info from it yet either should i remove it and save everything first what do i do??????

Definately save off of your data before proceeding! I can't stress that enough!! Especialy if this is unfamiliar territory for you...

What OS are you trying to load?
If you had XP on your old machine, and now trying to use XP with the new setup you'll definately have to contact MS because of all the new hardware you're installing...
You DO have a cd for an operating system correct?
