AMD Athlon MP in Asus XP MoBo

Can I use an Athlon MP 2000+ with a Asus A7N8X Deluxe Motherboard or any other Athlon Xp MoBo??? I haven't tried yet I do not want to kill the processor or MoBo . The reason is that I have the MoBo but all I have handy is the MP processor.

Yes you should be able to do it just fine. Unless the motherboard has something against you running an MP.
