Shut down error gets stuck

heyal,

I started getting this error recently every time i shut down or reboot.

I get a blue screen with " VXD MXECPV02" error. Whether i hit ctl alt del or enter i then get a black screen with green lines all the way across the top which makes me think it does or effects the video. from there i can't to anything but reset and go through the scandisk for improper shut down.

any help would be greatly appreciated.

What OS? What video card and drivers?

Can you post back the whole error?
