Best multi-game for sniping.

I don't play too many FPS games but I started playing UT a while back.

Now these fools that bounce all over shooting seemingly randomly but killing everyone... I can't run with them.

However on the sniper-rifle only levels I do alright.

Any other fun multi games out there for sniping?

Counterstrike has some nice sniping levels. It's an old game, but many, many people play it.

Day of Defeat and RTCW (and Enemy Territory, which is free for ayone) have good sniping levels too.

Americas Army has excellent Sniper support, but you have to be good to get the sniper rifles.

I have been playing RTCW ET lately. Fun game to sit around and be on Covert Ops picking people off.
The fact that it's free to play is very nice as well.

Soldier of Fortune 2 is a good one.. Just so happens that I am selling my copy as well.

Battlefield 1942.

every level allows you to be a sniper. (how you use it is up to you.)
It is my favorite positoin to play in this game for exactly the reason you stated. I can't run and play assualt with these "jumping bunnies" (but i am getting better at following the bouncing ball. lol ) battlefield allows me to stick and move. (rather it encourages you to move by showing the guy you killed where you were.)
you can also call in artillery strikes.

PLUS you could have 14 (or more) CLANIMO buddies backing you (YES YOU) up!

plus there are all kinds of other toys to play with when you get tired of sniping. planes, ships,subs, jeeps,tanks

Another vote for CS.
Also sniping in MOHAA over the net is really fun.

Depends what game and which server you're on. CS seems to be the breeding grounds of campers and gaming punks worldwide.

Camping is different than sniping. Camping would be sitting by the spawn point popping folks as they spawn. Sniping does involve some skill and risk since you spend alot of time still and focusing on something/someone.

But alot of the um, "young" gamers don't see it that way, which is fine since I would rather play with people interested in having fun and not whining because someone fragged you.

Under my definition sniper=camper. Most games don't allow people to be fragged immediately after popping...

Snipers usually camp on some high ground (which they've found after flying around the game field furiously for two days - and no one else knows of) and snipe people.
