[10053] Software caused connection abort

Hi all,
I am getting this error mostly in mirc, "[10053] Software caused connection abort". This happens all the time now and it disconnects me! I can not figure out how to fix this. I am routing through linksys router to my cable modem on the internet. Has anyone experienced this problem before and did something to fix it?

I guess I kind of have a lot of stuff going on through a network card which is hooked up to my cable modem and I also have a wireless modem which is hooked up to my USB port. I route certain things through my wireless hookup once in a while and use that instead of taking up cable modem bandwidth.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Hoowahman

I did not forward port 113 and i'm using 6.03 yes. Why do I need to send port 113? It seems like sometimes its ok actually but other days its really bad like every 5 minutes.

Thanks for the response.

port 113 is what mirc runs on. might want to give it a try. see if that helps

have you update the firmware for the router also?

Actually I had not forwarded it at all and I haven't seen that error in the last few hours. The firmware is updated yes. I am looking in my status window and the servers do not get an IDENT response back from me. If that error is caused by this then forwarding the port will probably help. I totally didn't think about that. Thanks =) Will see what happens by tomorrow morning.
