1 monitor on 2 computers????
O.K.
Here's an odd one for you!!!
There's a guy at work that has to have 2 PC's on his desk, he wants to get 1 Flat screen and use it for both machines.
Is there any way to do this???? Kind of an A B switch for monitors???
Thanks for your time,
Chefde

Sure is. Choose one:
1) KVM switch. A Little device that you flip the button, and your keyboard, mouse (PS/2) and monitor go from one machine to the other. A bit expensive, but reliable and no software needed, that I know of. You'll need a 2-comp, single user one.
2) Software. Use PC Anywhere or VNC ( www.realvnc.com ). Let's one machine control the other. Requires fast (10/100) network. Can be used over the internet, so that's an advantage.

Do KVM's support the DVI interface yet?
On a side note, KVM's are wonderful, especially for testing, machines and OS's coming out your ears, one nice big monitor for all of them.(not to mention 1 keyboard and mouse)

dragonb - I have not seen a KVM that does DVI but I am sure you could buy an adapter, but I would think you might loose some quality.
