Word 2000 Question

Hi,

The title of this question might not actually be where the problem lies but here is the problem I am trying to solve.

On my PC (OS Win ME)I have saved some Word 2000 files in a separate folder on the desktop. When my wife prints these out the location ( path) for the file shows up on the lower left side of the page. Something like this,

c:/windowsdesktop/mydocs/application.doc

Can this be removed? This may have an obvious answer but I am using my MAC to post this as I am away at work so I can't fiddle around for a solution myself at the moment.

Thanks in advance for your help

Cheers

She can edit the footer of the file to have it removed.
On the toolbar ... View --> Edit Header and Footer.

Hmmm wait is it showing up on the document in word?
If not there maybe a printer function that is doing this.. how its setup maybe dependant on your printer...
What kind of printer is it?

Hi,

Thanks for the reply Vass

It's an Epson I think the model is C82 .

These files in question originally came as an attached file and I just opened them from their downloaded loaction and saved them into a new location.

Earlier today I got her to go through File/Print then advanced to see what boxes were checked and the only on was to allow A4/Letter resizing.

I'll call home tomorrow and ask her if it is visible when she is viewing the doc on the screen. If so I'll see if she can select the Header and Footer option and dump it that way.

Cheers

Edit:

It was as Vass suggested and was easily removed once this fix was applied, once again thanks for the info.
