ASUS A7M266, dont you hate when your mobo dont post

So Im playing CS for a few hours, system starts restarting randomly, figure its getting to hot in there so i turn her off for a few days. Then i turn her on and i get nothing, no beep codes, nothing posting nada. Motherboard LED's light up, cd rom powers up, so the power supply and maybe the mobo are ok i think. So i reseat the CPU, add some more thermal paste, reseat the ram, try again...no dice. Ok, figure perhaps the vid card went, throw in a new one, still no posting. Im hoping that the cpu didnt fry on me, but thats about everything i can think of to do... Any suggestions??? Is there a way to check the mobo short of having another CPU to check it with? Any help would be great.

I hate to say this, but I think that your board went south. The very basics would be beeps and if your not hearing anything it is a strong sugg that the culprit here is the board. Try removing the CMOS battery and resetting it that way just to see what happens. Also removed the memory and try to boot with out it you should hear beeps.

Were you overclocking?
