Web page shortcut!

Hi, I have a web page shortcut that has appeared on my desktop. In fact there are two that keep appearing on boot. One is Get rid of spyware, the other I can't remember. I am surprised that these have got onto the system as I am running Norton Internet Security.

Obviously deleting them does no good, as they must be embedded somewhere in the registry. Anyone know of the key(s) that I can delete or edit to get rid of these, or indeed any other way to get rid of them.

Many thanks, Steve.

Yes, I had considered that, but still wanted to know where to delete it from the registry really.

Thanks, Steve.

Finding out where they were put would probably be like looking for a needle in a haystack. Using AdAware is much less hassle.

Whir is right. They could be embedded anywhere. You could spend a couple hours and still not find or recognize them.
