I use Outlook Express. The settings are simply set with:
pop3: incoming.verizon.net
smtp: outgoing.verizon.net
I'm using a Linksys 4-port router, as I share my DSL with another box. Each box has its own email account.
My Outlook Express works fine, no problems
unless I reboot or turn off then restart my computer. Then the above settings change to (DNS?) numbers and I must go into Tools/Accounts, delete the account, reload the original data and it works fine again! Until and unless I shut off my computer. This is very aggravating ...
The second computer has never had this problem. The problem on my computer occurs every few months then resolves ... why I don't know. I cannot replicate the problem when my email is working great, not that I've tried! Has anyone dealth with this before?
