W2k deployment issue, need help
Well, not really deployment but...
Anyway, studying for my 70-210. Trying to make an "unnattend.txt" file using the Setup manager.
Ok, I extracted the "Deploy" folder onto the C: drive into a folder named "deployment"....from inside that folder I click on Setupmanager.exe and start the setup manager wizard. Ok, I get to the part where it says "distribution folder name"....what am I supposed to put right there??
I have tried putting the name "C:deployment" and I tried the default of C:\win2000dist.....both times it got ready to copy and then gave me an error saying it cant read the drive and/or it cant determine the free space and decides it has 0 free space and I have to cancel.
Whats the deal?? Is this in any way supposed to be going on a network share?? All I am trying to do is create a custome "unnattend.txt" file etc. I am following an exercise in an MCSE book and it isnt saying anything about networked comps here so surely I can do this much on my one comp.
yes I am signed in as admin.
Thanks, JP
