Tech Help on Formatted computer

I just reformatted my computer because it had a bug. Now I am trying to instal Win 2000 back on the machine and I keep get a error massage "NTLDR is missing". I have the CD rom set to boot from and the cd in the machine. I do not understand what is wrong. Any ideas??? Please ask me any questions that might help you figure this issue out.

Thanks

Do you have the CD set as the first boot device also?
It's obviously not booting from the cd,do you have a bootdisk to boot from?

Hi, welcome to TECHIMO!

Is the CD drive recognized during the POST? If so, what is your boot order?

Bill

You must be getting Rusty GT (Pun Intended)

He prolly meant: ask him about his system specs/setup.

if you have the w2k cd, go to the BOOTDISK folder and run makeboot.exe - it will create the boot installation disks you need.
