APC UPS Settings............

Howdy

I just got my apc ups hooked up and while configuring it i came across a voltage configuration setting. It tells the ups when to turn over to battery power when the AC power goes above or below a certain setting. It is currently set to run on batteries if the voltage falls below 95 or above 130. I'm just wondering if those are good settings. Anyone have any expirence with these???

Sam

I'd just go with the factory defaults, but if I were to change things I would up the "below" to 100 or so. US voltage is supposed to be at 120 and I'm not sure how far the voltage can get before it causes a reboot.

For most settings, stick with the factory defaults. If you're plugging in something that is highly sensitive to power fluctuations then change it. But you would probably know if you had something. Standard computer parts shouldn't be too sensitive.
