Memory upgrade to video card

I have a Nvidia vanta agp 16mb video card . Can the memory chip be replaced with a bigger memory chip, or do I have to buy a new card?

dont' take my word for it, but I do believe you would require a new vid card.. you could probably get a fairly decent non-gaming card for 50-60 bucks

I'm not aware of any cards that have been upgradeable for many years now ... you would have to buy a new card.

I only recall old PCI cards that would let you upgrade the memory on the video card. You're going to have to buy a new video card.

Thanks,
I guess somebody (my son) will have to save up so he can buy the card to play his game on his mothers 'puter. .
