Kids Geforce GPU Temp Monitor

Hey all, is there a way i can check the temp on my TI4400s GPU?

I noticed that l8tely, games got quite choppy, so i touched the bak of the card behind the GPU, and almost burned myselve. I took the HS off once, maybe i didnt position it right, GOnna put some artic silver on there this time. Now, does the G4 have a sensor in it, so i can check the GPU temps?

Thx all

AFAIK, only the new FX series cards come with a thermal sensor built-in. They're pretty sweet. I just installed a card (FX5800) for a friend, and it had the goods right in the driver about the GPU temp.

I think if you Google the topic, you will find sites that will tell you how to manually add a heat sensor to your GPU.

I think it has to be built in by the card's manufacturer. I know my Asus v7700 GTS card had a fan and temperature monitor, but I don't think my current Ti4400 does.

Try the AS3, and you could even intall a slot cooler. Or look into an aftermarket HS/Fan for your GPU. I use my Digital Doc 5 to monitor my GPU temp's (along with 7 others), but you can get a single thermometer with a sensor wire for about $10. Some mobo's also come with an extra temp sensor you can put whereever you want.
