I have a 6gb secondary hard drive which i use as the pagefile drive. Currently i have the pagefile set to be 1000-4000gb. Is this too much? Is there any adverse side effect when the pagefile is colossal?
yes you can have too much...
Technically I don't think it will hurt all that much, but its comes to a point of diminishing returns to where its no longer worth the space...
If you have a 200 gig HD and the 6 gig is just for page file..so be it have a ball!
Otherwise its just a waste of space
As noted above keeping it around 1.5 x RAM is fine
