renaming a file

i found a peice of software labeled anything.bin.exe
how do i change it from application to a regular .bin file?

It depends....
What OS is the file for?
If its for windows, I dont' think a .bin file will do you much good...
and you can't simply make a windows application into a linux application simply by renaming it...

Need more info
If its REALLY want you want to do just right click and rename....
just probably won't solve much

Hmm, I thought .bin was a cd image that was ready to burn?
Can't you remove the .exe leaving the .bin and then burn it?

well if you look at the file in explorer..the filename does end in .exe but it is an application instead of a .bin file
