I'd get it even if the response time did suck! That's an awesome price for an 18" LCD, I'd buy no matter what.

That's about average for an LCD, but if you travel or don't to gaming as your main thing, it would work just fine. CRT's are better for games period, but it's worth it for LAN parties and stuff.

I can play Counter-Strike on my laptop, and it ghosts sure, but it's not super bad. The only thing that's bad is it's in software mode, and I use a touchpad to play it, lol.

Bob - I have this Proview 18" and it is very, very nice - only thing it doesn't have is a DVI connection, iit's just analog. But it has a FULL warranty.
hope this helps!

well. i'm not a huge gamer. its just all my moniters are going. and i've been looking at lcds. when i do lan i hate lugging the moniter and my case.
if i can play doom3 and hl2 and jedi3 up on that then i'll be fine

edit. hmm @ the proview. i dunno i am not a fan of rebates. and its got a lower responce time.

if i knew what one my friend has i could compare his refresh time to these. i never saw any gohsting on his.

Amen to Proview: I use their 19" flat CRT and it rocks! Only $140 some at the local one-stop-shopping Fred Meyer's. I'm considering getting their 15" LCD because I'm cheap and just want a second monitor. Time will tell, though.

I do a bit of gaming on my 17" panel; all I can say is you will get used to it and before long you won't even notice ghosting. Mine is 30ms, too.

Actually, I never really even noticed ghosting from the start...
