Boot manager.

Can anyone reccommed a good boot manager, one that supports FreeBSD and Windows 2k. I would prefer if the boot manager didn't require the use of its own partition, and doesn't require me reinstall my OS'es to get it to work. Any suggestions?

I have looked at that one but it wanted me to create a partition just for the boot manager itself. And the web page or the program hasn't been update since 2000.

The following OSes are tested to be able to boot via Smart BootManager:

* GNU/Linux x86
* FreeBSD
* BeOS
* OS/2
* QNX
* Solaris x86 (only Solaris 8 was tested)
* Novell Netware
* Microsoft DOS, Windows 9x, Windows NT and Windows 2000

Other Operating Systems should be supported as well, but I have not had a chance to test them. If you can test them, please let me know the results.

SBM is fine, but GRUB and XOSL are better IMO. XOSL gives you a nice GUI to run, and exists on a FAT32 partition. GRUB can be configured to use a splash screen (so you can use your own picture) and can exist on lots of different partition types, such as ext2, reiser, JFS, Minix FS, and XFS. Its very versatile, and allows you to change kernel options at that point. Although, you could set it up to boot the boot sector of each partition, you may as well use something like xosl if you want to do that.
