Opera 7.11... Wow!

My cable connection has (to me) gotten slower recently. It got to the point where it could take up to 5-10 seconds for startup of IE and display of start page. Furthermore, it sometimes could take up to several seconds of time to surf from page to page.

I have heard more than a few good things about the new version of Opera, so I just downloaded and installed it.

Wow. What a difference. My pages pop as soon as I type the address in address bar. Incredible.

Why can't Microsoft do this to begin with? Oh yah, that's right, their programs drain my resources, data-mine my system and protect other corporation's rights instead of mine, the consumer of their products.

Sorry, I've tried Opera, Konqueror and IE and I still think the Mozilla based browsers with Xft support look the best. Opera is really fast though, I will definitely give you that.
