ac3 filter doesn't work

i tried to play a avi file on divx and it said it couldn't plat it it said tag 8192 i got the ac3 filter and tried the file and the voice was going really fast then went silent i went on the ac3 and it doesn't look like it is working is there something to do here i also got tsunami codec
