Yeah, it's not as impressive as games like Doom III, but the jump in visual quality is good enuf. I hope HL2 gives Doom III a run for its money, seeing most people will have to rebuild or upgrade their systems before being able to even run Doom III smoothly.

Yeah, the graphics arent as advanced as DIII but those comparison shots really make you appreciate how far graphics technology has come!

man, those poor poor modelers are gouging their eyes out on those meshes and you guys give 'em an "almost as good" heck, those graphics are wonderful given all the time and energy it takes to create the textures and perfect the kinematics of the models.

DoomIII is more than likely going to be like Unreal II, which is flawless graphics and a nearly flawlessly horrid script/plot.

counterstrike 2 will be something to see
